- Hiring ahead of need but not too far ahead.
- Onboarding people properly, not just filling seats.
- Infrastructure that scales with the team.
- Enough slack in the system for learning and improvement.

If your team doubled and your processes, tools, and culture didn't adapt, you didn't grow - you just got bigger.
How to Stay Sustainable
- Define what "too fast" looks like and watch for the signs.
- Invest in enablement (tooling, docs, onboarding) alongside hiring.
- Don't sacrifice quality for speed. Quality is what lets you go fast later.
